Empowering international markets to succeed

Supporting Kenwood with the summer launch of the Kenwood Multione
Redface handled the code adaptation and localisation of the product landing pages for 15 territories including Polish, Ukrainian and Arabic.

Multione pages in Arabic and Dutch

The Challenge

Kenwood approached me to work with the team to adapt an existing landing page template for the launch of their new Multione tool. The landing page supported the launch with technical specifications, attachment information and recipe ideas. The company uses the EPiServer CMS system and all new pages would need to be adapted to work across the international markets respective domains.

I reviewed the project and provided a specific timeline for a staggered launch of all markets. I identified the territories which would require more development time; for example, adapting the page for Arabic – a RTL language – and the non-Latin Cyrillic script of Ukrainian and diacritics of Czech and Slovak languages.

The Approach

I compiled a comprehensive translation matrix for both content and assets that was shared to all markets for translation. As I was up against a tight timescale I fully automated the generation of multiple image assets and set up local CSS overrides to fine tune individual pages whilst maintaining the somewhat restrictive EPiServer structure for custom templates.

Over 15 separate product mini-sites were delivered ahead of schedule and on budget. The staggered launch schedule enabled an initial round of amends and I was able to add the video element once they were completed by their respective markets.
